Mergers Completed in New York, New Hampshire

KINGSTON, N.Y.–The $45-million Central Hudson Employees FCU has merged into $920-million Mid-Hudson Valley FCU.

NCUA approved the deal Sept. 1.

Central Hudson EFCU operated a single branch at the Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. headquarters in Dutchess County.

“We can assure Central Hudson Employees FCU members that they will be afforded convenient service and a smooth transition to MHV,” Wayne Winkler, CEO of Mid-Hudson Valley, said in a statement. “…This merger aligns two strong, local organizations with common philosophies to provide the combined membership with tremendous value.”

Meanwhile, in Nashua, N.H., members of the $600-million Triangle Credit Union and the $6-million St. Joseph Hospital Employee’s CU have voted in favor of merging. As a result, Triangle CU has opened its newest and ninth branch at 172 Kinsley St. in Nashua.

"We believe this move is mutually beneficial for both credit unions and our members, and we look forward to serving the financial needs of our new membership," Triangle Credit Union President/CEO Maurice Simard Jr. told the Cooperative Credit Union League.
