Mergers Announced in Texas, Wisconsin

FT. WORTH, Texas–Mergers have been announced in Texas and Wisconsin. In the latter deal, many of one CU’s members were already members of the other.

In the Lone Star State, the $350,000 All Saints Catholic FCU has merged into the $280-million Forth Worth City Credit Union. Founded in 1956, Al Saints Catholic had just 105 members.

“Fort Worth City CU will now provide additional products and services for All Saints Catholic FCU’s members, including additional branch locations and operating hours, a full array of online and mobile services, mortgages and other loan options, and expanded surcharge-free ATM and shared branch networks,” the credit union said in a statement.

Founded in 1929, Fort Worth City CU has more than 15,000 members and three branches.

Wisconsin Merger

Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, the $3.75-billion Royal Credit Union said it is merging in the $6.7-million Utilities Credit Union. Royal CU reported approximately 500 of UCU’s 896 Members are existing Royal members. All UCU members are expected to be transitioned to Royal by Oct. 4, 2021.

UCU was formed in 1932 to serve Xcel Energy/Northern States Power employees, retirees and their families.

UCU currently has a single office location inside the Xcel Energy building located at 1414 West Hamilton Avenue in Eau Claire that is closing.
