ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.–With the merger of PSCU and Co-op Solutions effective Jan. 1, the CUSO has now announced its new executive management team, with members primarily drawn from PSCU.
With PSCU CEO Chuck Fagan now CEO of the combined operation, the new management team includes:
- Brian Caldarelli, EVP, chief administrative officer (from PSCU)
- Bruce Dragt, EVP, chief data officer (from Co-op)
- Tom Gandre, EVP, chief technology officer (from PSCU)
- Lynn Heckler, EVP, chief culture officer (from PSCU)
- Dean Michaels, EVP, chief operations officer (previously served as CEO of Co-op)
- Cheryl Middleton Jones, EVP, chief people officer (from Co-op)
- Brandi Quinn, EVP, chief of staff and corporate governance (from PSCU)
- Brian Scott, EVP, chief revenue officer (from PSCU)
- Denise Stevens, EVP, Chief Product Officer (from PSCU)
- Scott Wagner, EVP, strategic partnerships (from PSCU)
- Dean Young, EVP, chief service officer (from PSCU)
The company told CUToday.info that Samantha Paxson, chief experience officer with Co-op, who is very well known to many in credit unions, including for leading its popular THINK event, will be reporting to Fagan for a transitional period, and that Dean Young will oversee marketing, communications and client experience in his role as chief service officer.
Holding Company in Place
PSCU and Co-op said they have begun operational integration under a holding company, with the St. Petersburg, Fla. headquarters of PSCU serving as the headquarters for the combined organization.
As CUToday.info has reported, anew brand for the combined organization, which will be known as PSCU/Co-op Solutions in the interim, will be announced in the coming months.
As CUToday.info has also reported, most recently here in an interview with the then CEOs of the two organizations, an Integration Management Office has been formed to over see the merger, with McKinsey & Co. serving as a consultant.

The future is bright for our combined company, we look forward to what’s ahead.”

As CUToday.info reported earlier, PSCU serves more than 2,400 financial institutions and processes more than eight-billion transactions annually, and offers payment processing, fraud and risk management, data and analytics, digital banking, strategic consulting and real-time payments platforms, along with 24/7/365-member support via its contact centers. The CUSO is 45 years old.
Co-op Solutions serves 2,650 credit unions, and also process more than eight-billion transactions annually. Founded in 1981, it also manages a nationwide ATM network of more than 30,000 and a 5,700-location shared branch network.
