Members Urged To ‘Dream Big’ & Then Make A Video About It

ALEXANDRIA, Va.—The $340-millon CommonWealth One FCU is asking members to “dream big” this season — and make a video about it.

Members can record a 30- to 90-second video using their smartphones (or cameras) and email it to CommonWealth One to enter the “Dreams Thrive Here” video contest, the CU explained.

The deadline is Monday, Dec. 4.

“Using props, friends, family and some creativity, members can tell CommonWealth One about their dreams and hopes for the future. They should also mention how they are saving and investing wisely to help make those dreams a reality,” the credit union said in a release.

The first-place prize is $500; second place is $250; and third place is $100. All winnings will be deposited into members’ CommonWealth One accounts.

“We’re looking forward to learning what our members’ life goals are, and helping them achieve them while letting them have fun and be creative,” said Karyle Thornton, chief marketing officer.

The theme for the 2017 International Credit Union Day, held in October, was Dreams Thrive Here.

Winners will be notified by Dec. 15.
