Members Of Two California CUs Approve Merger

TORRANCE, Calif.–UNIFY Financial Credit Union, which is the new name for Western FCU, and San Francisco Municipal Railway Employees FCU reported that their merger has received final approval by an overwhelming majority vote of the SFMREFCU membership.

With completion of the merger, all SFMREFCU members will become members of UNIFY and have access to seven additional branches in the Bay Area along with an extensive multi-state branch network and a 24/7 telephone contact center. SFMREFCU’s existing San Francisco branch will remain open and all staff will remain with UNIFY.
