Members Of Tri-Pointe Community CU Agree To Combination

GRAND BLANC, Mich.—During a special meeting here, members of the $208-million Tri-Pointe Community Credit Union have voted to approve a previously announced merger with Genisys Credit Union in Auburn Hills, Mich.

This combined CU will have more than $1.8 billion in assets and will serve nearly 175,000 members through 29 branches. The merger is expected to become official on April 1, 2015 and work to combine systems and operations will be completed by the end of the year.

Mack McConnell, current president and CEO of Tri-Pointe Community Credit Union, will remain with the credit union through the transition and then take retirement.
