HANSCOM AFB, Mass.–Members of the $17-million Touchstone FCU have approved a merger into the $1.1-billion Hanscom FCU here. The merger will be effective April 1, 2017.
Touchstone FCU, with offices in Wilmington, Mass., and at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Mass., was founded in 1957 and serves employees and retirees at Textron Systems, Mount Auburn Hospital, and other affiliated organizations.
Hanscom FCU said it intends to retain the two Touchstone FCU offices and staff. Touchstone FCU Board Chairman Ray Kahre has agreed to serve on the Hanscom FCU advisory board.
“We are delighted to welcome all 2,291 Touchstone FCU members to the Hanscom FCU family,” said Paul Marotta, chairman of the board for Hanscom FCU, in a statement. “We look forward to helping more people become financially self-sufficient and successful.”
Hanscom FCU has 71,165 members.
