TIPPERARY, Ireland–Members were lined up prior to 10 a.m. opening at Clonmel Credit Union here as it prepared to pay out what was described as one of the biggest loan interest rebates and bonus dividend payments in all of Ireland.
In all, Clonmel CU is paying out an extra €2.2 million just ahead of Christmas.
The funds were distributed in the form of a 30% interest rebate and dividend of 0.2%. The payout had earlier been approved during the credit union’s annual general meeting, according to TipperaryLive.com.
