ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—A CU member helped police apprehend a man who robbed a branch of Santa Fe Credit Union here.
Daniel Griseto was inside the credit union cashing a check when he noticed a man acting suspiciously.
"He walked in wearing a sweatshirt, a beanie and a scarf," Griseto told KOAT7. "I saw him pass a note to the teller as I was cashing my check and I asked them if he was robbing them."
The robber then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, and Griseto ran after the man.
"I saw him take off towards the door, and that's when I went out and chased him on foot," Griseto said.
Griseto then called 911 and kept updating operators on the man's location until officers could arrive and apprehend him. Police have not identified the suspect.
"You see it on TV all the time but you never know it's going to happen to you," Griseto told the news station. "That's messed up that he robbed those people."
