KANSAS CITY, Mo.–Mazuma Credit Union has been named the “Official Mortgage Lender” by Major League Soccer’s Sporting Kansas City.
The new agreement expands through the
2025 MLS season a partnership Mazuma already had in place with the team. Mazuma said it will be increasing its in-stadium presence and bolstering opportunities for Sporting fans to interact with the credit union.
“This partnership is exciting for us because we have great mortgage offerings and a dedicated team ready to help Kansas City with their mortgage needs, whether it’s a first mortgage or a refinance, we have many options that meet our Members where they are,” said Deonne Christensen, president and CEO of Mazuma. “It’s still a great time to buy a house, and we’re here to help. As the team’s Official Mortgage Lender, fans will see an even bigger presence from Mazuma across all Sporting touchpoints.”
Other Naming Rights
The credit union said it maintains its presence at state-of-the-art Children’s Mercy Park with naming rights to the Mazuma Plaza, which is the stadium’s largest landmark and a primary point of entry for guests attending matches and events, as well as the Mazuma Gate located on State Avenue.
In addition, the Mazuma Mezzanine is a premium space located in the northeast corner of the world-class venue with all-inclusive food and beverage amenities for up to 60 guests, MCU said.
In conjunction with the expanded partnership, Mazuma said it plans to build a new structure for the space that will create experiential opportunities for Sporting fans to interact with the credit union including complimentary drinks for Mazuma members and free giveaways for youth passing by the Mezzanine.
Mazuma is also a presenting partner of Argyle Ace, a 50/50 fundraising raffle that features weekly prizes and a progressive cash jackpot to support The Victory Project in its mission of helping children through all of life’s challenges. The promotion raised over $13,000 for The Victory Project in its first year in 2021, Mazuma CU reported.
‘Value Our Partnership’
“We really value our partnership with Sporting for its focus on the Kansas City community and the local ties that bind us,” said Christensen. “We look forward to continuing this partnership long into the future and bringing Mazuma and its services to Sporting fans across the metro.”
