CHATSWORTH, Calif.–Matadors Community Credit Union has named a new CEO to succeed its current president, Dale Verderano, when he retires on June 30.
The new CEO will be Melissa Broadwell, who is currently executive VP and COO. Verderano has served the credit union as president/CEO since 1994.
“Melissa’s personal commitment to excellence has inspired our employees to be the best they can,” said Verderano. “Her ability to listen to others’ ideas with concern creates an environment of motivation and respect for the job. Her 27 years’ experience working with the board of directors and a number of committees will help her shape the future of the credit union. I am very proud to pass on the job of president/CEO to someone of her high caliber.”
Broadwell began her career at MCCU in 1989 and has held a number of high-level positions within the credit union since then.
