PURCHASE, N.Y.—Mastercard jointly announced with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo that it will add to its state operations with the expansion of its New York City Technology Hub.
The company will relocate its current tech hub operations to a new Flatiron location at 150 Fifth Avenue and nearly triple its work force through the creation of over 470 new jobs by 2024.
The Manhattan expansion reinforces Mastercard’s commitment to being a future-forward payment technology company, and one more example of growth in its five tech hubs located around the world, Mastercard said.
“New York is an exceptional gateway for talent, innovation and collaboration,” said Ed McLaughlin, president, operations and technology, Mastercard. “We appreciate the ongoing support from Governor Cuomo and the state as we deliver on a commitment to lead in digital. The activities in New York are a natural complement and expansion of our global effort to deliver the digital future today.”
Recently, Mastercard announced the merging of three Sydney offices to become one Mastercard Global Tech Hub and Innovation Centre. Based outside of Sydney, the hub will house 560 employees and will include dedicated technology teams working in innovative areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning and cyber security.
