MasterCard Donates $200K For Hurricane Relief in U.S., Haiti

PURCHASE, N.Y.—Mastercard is making a $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross to provide support to Hurricane Matthew relief efforts in the U.S. and a separate $100,000 donation to The World Food Program to provide support to Hurricane Matthew relief efforts in Haiti.

Mastercard, together with its issuers, said it will also waive the transaction fees on all credit card donations made in the U.S. and Canada to both the American & Canadian Red Cross and The World Food Program, in addition to a number of other charitable organizations for six weeks.

“During times like these our priorities as community members become clear. And just like so many who are reaching out to those affected by Hurricane Matthew to offer assistance, Mastercard wants to do what we can to help,” Mastercard said.
