SPRINGFIELD, Mass.–Following a 38-year career, Mass Mutual FCU CEO Dave Plantier said he plans to retire effective July 5.
During his career, the Cooperative Credit Union Association said Plantier has played an “important role in managing and growing the credit union. In addition, his leadership has helped enable MMFCU to effectively maintain a sound financial institution while providing value and peace of mind to members.”
In addition to his professional career, Plantier has served as a board member to the Central Credit Union Fund (CCUF), the Massachusetts Share Insurance Corporation (MSIC), the CCUA, and the Pioneer Valley Chapter of Credit Unions. He was also a charter member of the Social Responsibility Committee for the CCUA, Scholarship Committee Chair for the Pioneer Valley Chapter, and a past trustee of the Credit Union Affordable Housing Trust.

“I’ve been privileged to work directly with Dave for the past 10 years. I am thankful for the opportunity to learn from someone who has literally seen it all over the course of his credit union career,” said COO Chris Brown. “Dave has steered this ship with a steady hand with an eye towards the horizon for many years; there is certainly a bright future for MMFCU as we stand on the foundation he has built.”
The $377.4-million MMFCU has more than 13,000 members.
