WASHINGTON—Brett Martinez, president/CEO of Redwood CU in Santa Rosa, Calif., has been nominated for a seat on the CUNA board of directors.
Martinez is the seventh board nomination CUNA has received for its 2018 board elections.
Previous nominations include:
- District 1, Class B: Gary E. Furtado, president/CEO, Navigant CU, Smithfield, RI
- District 5, Class A: Maria J. Martinez, president/CEO, Border FCU, Del Rio, Texas
- District 5, Class A: Johnny O’Hare, president/CEO, Cherokee Strip CU, Ponca City, Okla.
- District 4, Class B: Patrick Pierce, President/CEO, City & County Credit Union, St. Paul, Minn.
- Class D (league president): Fred Robinson, president/CEO, Tennessee Credit Union League, Chattanooga, Tenn.
- Class D (league president): Thomas Kane, president of the Illinois Credit Union League, Naperville, Ill.
Nominations are being accepted through December 8.
Two Class A and two Class B positions are up for election as follows:
- District 1—Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands:
- Class B: Credit unions having at least 38,000 but not more than 141,000 natural-person members
- District 3--Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee:
- Class A: Credit unions having less than 38,000 natural-person members
- District 4--Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri and Wisconsin:
- Class B: Credit unions having at least 38,000 but not more than 141,000 natural-person members
- District 5—Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Wyoming:
- Class A: Credit unions having less than 38,000 natural-person members
Directors elected will take office upon the adjournment of CUNA's Annual General Meeting in Washington, D.C., Feb. 26, during the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference.
