ROSEBURG, Ore. – Shortly after demanding money from a teller at a credit union here, an alleged robber then asked that police be called so he could be arrested.
According to Roseburg Police, at around 10:30 a.m. Cody James Rose allegedly walked into a branch of Cascade Community Credit Union and handed over a note indicating he “needed money,” KVAL reported, citing police reports.
After the suspect told the employee to open the till and give him money, he also asked the employee to call the police so he could be arrested, KVAL said.
According to police, Rose, 36, was taken into custody without incident and was transported to Douglas County Corrections. He has been charged with second-degree robbery.
