LOGANSPORT, Ind.— Jacob Rozzi was arrested over the weekend after allegedly making two bomb threats toward an office of Beacon Credit Union here, the Pharos-Tribune reported.
Rozzie was arrested Saturday without incident and charged with intimidation of a financial institution (level 6 felony) and intimidation (level 6 felony), the Pharos-Tribune reported citing a press release.
The Pharos-Tribune reported said the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received information from Cass County Dispatch on a bomb threat at the credit union at approximately 8:59 a.m. Saturday.
“A preliminary investigation found that Beacon Credit Union Contact Center received two calls from a male reporting that he planned to ‘blow the building up’ with a pipe bomb. Units responded to the scene and secured the area for further investigation. The facility was searched and no explosive devices were found,” the Pharos-Tribune reported.
Detectives were able to follow a number of leads to identify Rozzi as the caller and a search warrant and arrest warrant were obtained for Rozzi and his residence. Beacon Credit Union was closed Saturday as a result of the threat and investigation, the Pharos-Tribune reported.
