Maine League Creates Video Wall To Highlight History

WESTBROOK, Maine–The history of Maine’s credit unions is now on display via a video wall in the offices of the Credit Union Service Center here.

According to the Maine league, credit unions are being encouraged to be a part of this interactive wall by submitting a piece of their history to be featured throughout the year on the history wall’s video monitors.

"We are thrilled to be able to have a permanent visual display of Maine's strong CU history," stated John Murphy, president of the Maine CU League.

According to the league, the video wall was two years in the making. “The Maine Credit Union Movement through the Years,” depicts the innovation and history of Maine’s credit unions through the decades, the league said.

The Maine CU Movement comes to life across four, 55” monitors featuring video and image displays, 12 panels that tell a story through major milestones, and brilliant illumination thanks to museum-style lighting and formatting, the league reported.

“The construction of the wall itself speaks the collaborative nature of Maine’s Credit Unions’ as its creation involved seven different vendors, two design agencies, a digital signage company, and touched nearly every department within the Maine Credit Union League and Synergent, as well as the entire Maine CU System,” the league said. “CU staff are invited to view the history wall when visiting the CUSC for trainings or meetings with staff.”
