WESTBROOK, Maine–The Maine Credit Union League, one of its subsidiary companies and a number of credit unions in the state have all been named to the 2021 Best Places to Work in Maine list.
The list is compiled by the Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management and Best Companies Group, and identifies, recognizes, and honors employers that “positively contribute to Maine’s economy, its workforce, and businesses.”
In all, the 2021 list recognizes 100 employers in three size categories—including 15 credit unions. The league and its subsidiary company, Synergent, were honored in the medium-size employer category (50-249 U.S. employees), coming in at the 28th spot on the list.
This is the ninth time the League and Synergent have been named to the Best Places to Work in Maine list, the league said.
“The league and Synergent are on this list because we have an exceptional group of dedicated employees that care about our organization, their colleagues, and the credit unions we serve,” said Todd Mason, president/CEO of the Maine Credit Union League and Synergent. “This is truly their award and I hope they are as proud of this distinction as I am.”
All companies honored with a 2021 Best Places to Work in Maine accolade had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements: have at least 15 employees working in Maine; be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity; be a publicly or privately held business; have a facility in the state of Maine; and be in business a minimum of one year.
