LEWISTON, Maine–Lewiston Municipal FCU has introduced a new name and brand.
The $30.1-million credit union is now Milestones Federal Credit Union.
“In defining the credit union’s strategic plan, the credit union evaluated their attachment to the name they’ve proudly carried for nearly 77 years with their responsibility to prepare for future opportunities and growth,” stated the Maine Credit Union league. “After careful consideration, the board of directors unanimously voted to change Lewiston Municipal FCU’s name to better align with the credit union’s long-term goals.”
According to the league, the new name “simply highlights the credit union’s commitment to growth and supporting their members as they work to reach their financial goals and milestones.”
Milestones FCU was chartered in 1944 and has more than 1,800 members. It serves individuals who work for the cities of Lewiston and Auburn and their families.
