EAST LANSING, Mich. — MSU Federal Credit Union has launched Collegiate Credit Union, which it said is a first-of-its-kind financial solution app that serves individuals starting their secondary education journey through partner institutions.
Collegiate offers digital banking, financial tools, and educational resources made for Gen Z members, according to MSUFCU.
The credit union reported that Olivet College is Collegiate’s first partner institution, extending Collegiate digital banking and resources to students, faculty, and staff, including:
- Digital checking and savings accounts with robust online and mobile banking without membership or overdraft fees
- Goal-setting and tracking resources made for students by certified financial educators
- Data on individual spending and saving habits, alongside personalized guidance.
‘Empowering’ Students
According to MSUFCU, collegiate partners with academic institutions such as Olivet College to “empower students to confidently create and nurture their personal goals with digital checking and savings options customized for their unique stage of life and what lies ahead.”
MSU said Collegiate can be found on Google Play for Android devices and on the App Store for iOS devices.
An ‘Integrated Experience’
“Through an integrated experience, Collegiate provides students the financial tools and knowledge needed to create a foundation for financial success,” said MSUFCU President and CEO April Clobes.
