COLUMBIA, Md. – The MD|DC Credit Union Association has named the winner of its second annual “FinTank” competition.
The 2022 winner of the event was digital lending platform WithClutch.
During day two of the MD|DCCUA Tech Summit, seven fintechs pitched their solutions to the most pressing issues facing credit unions. WithClutch was selected by attendees who decided the winner in real time via an online poll.
“Congratulations to all of our competitors,” said John Bratsakis, president and CEO, MD|DC Credit Union Association. “FinTank was a great opportunity to engage directly with fintechs that are developing solutions designed to deliver results for credit unions.”
According to the association, WithClutch offers an end-to-end digital solution that allows credit unions to lend like a fintech, provide frictionless loan application experiences to its members, identify high interest loans that members hold outside the credit union and offer alternative loans that can save them money.
Powerful Backer
The fintech is funded by Silicon Valley's Andreessen Horowitz and earlier this year announced a partnership with CMFG Ventures, the venture capital arm of CUNA Mutual Group.
“Our mission is to help credit unions embrace digital technologies. I'm overwhelmed by the excitement of Maryland and D.C. area credit unions and humbled by the vote of confidence of our clients in the area,” said Nicholas Hinrichsen, CEO and co-founder of WithClutch.
CU 2.0’s Chris Otey and the MD|DC Credit Union Association’s John Bratsakis served as FinTank co-hosts.
The other competitors included Chimney, CuneXus, Eltropy, Equipifi, MemberPass, and Zest ai
