Louisiana League Introduces ‘Path to Inclusion’ Initiative

HARAHAN, La.–The Louisiana Credit Union League (LCUL) said it has partnered with Dima Ghawi, an expert in diversity, equity and inclusion, to launch “Path to Inclusion,” which it said will provide credit unions with “ongoing guidance and support on their DEI journey.”

“Dima has a proven track record of championing DEI in both the public and private sector with solid results. Together, LCUL and Dima look to transform the mindset of teams, individuals, and leaders to help them best support diverse communities and employees,” the organization said.

Among the resources being made available through the initiative, according to the Louisiana league:

  • Inclusive Support Within Reach (Hotline)
  • Anti-Harassment Training
  • Implicit Bias Training for LCUL Credit Unions
  • Path to Progress Award

The Goal

“The goal of LCUL's Path to Inclusion initiative is to provide credit unions the resources needed in order to constantly evolve, never falling complacent with their DEI practices,” said Senior VP Lucy Weaver. “Providing access to professional support as well as multiple training opportunities for staff will complement a unified vision of an inclusive work environment.”
The LCUL said the Path to Inclusion initiative will kick off with the first Implicit Bias Training taking place May 19.
