Louisiana League Introduces Online Legislative Action Center

HARAHAN, La.– The Louisiana Credit Union League has introduced a new Legislative Action Center, which it is describing as an “all-in-one political platform that offers a new approach in organizing and implementing statewide advocacy efforts.”

According to the league, the new platform aims to empower Louisiana credit unions to take an active part in grassroots efforts.

“Now, advocates can better understand credit union issues, monitor legislation, and effectively communicate with lawmakers to achieve overall legislative success,” the LCUL said.

Most importantly, the Legislative Action Center has the capability for credit unions to share member impact stories with legislators that further the advancement of Louisiana communities, it added.

“A strong emphasis on league value falls on advocacy and engagement. Our new partnership with Soft Edge incorporates a critical component that was missing in our political engagement strategy,” said SVP Lacey Weaver. “The league's new Legislative Action Center will not only increase visibility with lawmakers and educate credit union champions on key issues but also allow us to shift our strategic approach with more organized messaging.”
