WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.–Two North Carolina credit unions say they have completed their merger. The $42-million Hanesbrands Credit Union has merged into the $290-million Members Credit Union.
The now $330-million credit union will serve more than 50,000 members.
“We are very excited to welcome the members of Hanesbrands Credit Union into our Members Credit Union family,” said Bob Donley, Members' president and CEO, in a statement. “We believe our products, services and branch network will provide our new members everything they want to meet their financial needs.”
All 10 full-time employees of Hanesbrands Credit Union have joined Members CU. John Hughes, president of Hanesbrands Credit Union, will become director of data analytics for Members until his retirement in a couple of years, according to Donley.
The branch at Hanesbrands’ corporate office will become a Members CU branch.
