NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.—Pete Snyder, who served as a long-time NACUSO board member and chair, has passed away following a long battle with prostate cancer, the organization stated.
"Pete was an integral part of NACUSO and a real leader in the credit union movement,” said NACUSO CEO Jack Antonini. “Pete served as a board member for many years as well as our chairman of NACUSO for several years, helping to strengthen NACUSO. He also contributed to NACUSO by leading our advisory boards of both investment services and insurance services working with many professionals in the CU and CUSO industry. Pete was more than an industry leader, he was a friend. He gave generously of his time, and truly had a heart for helping other people. He will be missed.
“We learned of Pete's passing from his daughter, Christy Farmer, who poignantly tells the story of Pete's battle with prostate cancer on this GoFundMe Page, Antonini said.
"Pete was a pioneer and thought leader for successful investment programs in credit unions,” said Guy Messick, NACUSO Legal Counsel. “He loved baseball and singing. He was a bundle of energy and encouraged others to succeed. He will be missed. He struggled with his illness quite a while and it depleted his financial resources. The link enables his friends and family to help his family with the costs incurred." Pete's family would appreciate any support you could give to help them through this difficult time.
