BATON ROUGE, La.—Kathi Gill, CEO of Neighbors FCU, announced she will retire at the end of the year after serving the credit union for 34 years.
Gill began her career at Neighbors as a teller, and then worked her way up as branch manager, executive vice president and then CEO in 2008.
Since that time, Neighbors has more than doubled in asset size to over $735 million. Gill has guided the CU through three mergers and the addition of six new branches.
Gill has been key in the CU providing more than $500,000 in sponsorships and fundraising to local non-profits. She is an honor graduate of the Southwest CUNA Management School and holds the Certified Credit Union Executive designation. She was named Louisiana Credit Union League's Professional of the Year in 2009.
