OXFORD, N.C.–After 41 years in credit unions, H. Michael Dickerson, president of Oxford Credit Union, is retiring effective Sept. 10.
Since a 2015 merger, Oxford CU has operated as an affiliate of Summit Credit Union in Greensboro, N.C.
“Well known in the Oxford community, Dickerson has served as a member of many organizations in Granville County, including treasurer of both the Granville County Chamber of Commerce and the Granville County Shrine Club, and currently serves on the board of directors of Wake Electric Membership Co-Operative,” Summit CU said in making the announcement.
“We are grateful to Mike for his years of service and all he has done for the community of Oxford. We wish him well as he moves on to his next chapter, but he will be missed by all of us at Summit Credit Union”, says Sam Whitehurst, president and CEO of the $336-million Summit Credit Union.
