BANGOR, Maine—A father-son duo were arrested in connection with the robbery of a Penobscot County FCU branch in late March in West Enfield, Maine.
Christopher Cooney, 30, and Edward Cooney, 56, each face a robbery charge in connection with the March 28 incident.
According to a report in the Bangor Daily news, Christopher Cooney allegedly walked into the CU’s lobby, spoke with a teller, and handed her a note. Edward Cooney allegedly drove the getaway car. The thieves fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
In addition to the robbery, the younger Cooney also is facing a charge of violating his probation, according to Penobscot County Sheriff Troy Morton.
Both Cooneys remained at Penobscot County Jail Wednesday afternoon.
