ORLANDO, Fla.–The League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates presented its awards for Credit Union of the Year during its recent Southeast Credit Union Conference & Expo (SCUCE).
The LSCU Awards recognizes credit unions and credit union professionals who “demonstrate exemplary service and accomplish significant achievements,” the association said. “The Credit Union of the Year award recognizes affiliated credit unions for their outstanding achievements in the various areas of day-to-day operations, financial prowess, and community outreach.”
The winners of the Credit Union of the Year award based on asset size are as follows:
Credit Union of the Year up to $100 Million in Assets
- WCU Credit Union (Alabama)
- FiCare Federal Credit Union (Florida)
- Credit Union of Atlanta (Georgia)
Credit Union of the Year $100 Million to $500 Million in Assets
- Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union (Alabama)
- Calhoun Liberty Credit Union (Florida)
- North Georgia Credit Union (Georgia)
Credit Union of the Year More Than $500 Million in Assets
- Redstone Federal Credit Union (Alabama)
- First Florida Credit Union (Florida)
- Associated Credit Union (Georgia)
‘Above & Beyond’
“These credit unions exemplify the credit union mantra of people helping people, going above and beyond to serve their members and ensure their communities have access to the tools they need to achieve financial independence and stability,” LSCU President Samantha Beeler said in a statement. “From philanthropic offerings and community outreach to financial literacy programs and innovative services, these credit unions are vital to the advancement of their local communities and the lives of their members. We are honored to name them as winners of the Credit Union of the Year Award.”
The league noted next year’s LSCU Awards will be presented at the inaugural ENGAGE Conference, LSCU’s rebranded annual convention formerly known as SCUCE.
