BIRMINGHAM, Ala.–The League of Southeastern Credit Unions has announced the winners of its Desjardins, Dora Maxwell and Louise Herring Awards in Alabama and Florida.
The honorees in Alabama include:
Desjardins Winners
The winners of the Desjardins Financial Education awards for leadership in both youth and adult financial literacy initiatives include:
- Redstone FCU (first place) in the category of CUs with more than $1 billion in assets.
- All In Credit Union (second place) in the category of credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.
- AlabamaONE Credit Union for credit unions between $250 million and $1 billion in assets.
Dora Maxwell Winners
The winners of the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Awards, which honor credit union involvement in community projects and activities:
- All In Credit Union for credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.
- New Horizons CU for credit unions between $250 million and $1 billion in assets.
- Heritage South Credit Union for credit unions between $50 and 250 million in assets.
- Birmingham City Credit Union for credit unions with less than $50 million in assets.
Louise Herring Award
The winners of the Louise Herring Award for Philosophy in Action, which honors CUs that are making exceptional efforts to include credit union philosophy in daily operations:
- Avadian Credit Union for credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.
- All In Credit Union (second place) for credit unions with more than $1 billion in assets.

Desjardins Award
- Calhoun Liberty Credit Union won 1st place for the Desjardins Youth Financial Education Award among credit unions between $50 and 250 million in assets.
Dora Maxwell Award
- JM Associates Federal Credit Union won 1st place for the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award among credit unions between $50 and 250 million in assets.
- Miami Postal Service Credit Union won 2nd place for the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award among credit unions between $50 and 250 million in assets.
Louise Herring Award
- Miami Postal Service Credit Union won 1st place for the Louise Herring Award for Philosophy in Action among credit unions between $50 and 250 million in assets.
