LOS ANGELES—The California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues are joining with the Filene Research Institute to create the “REACH Innovation Group,” which will seek to “foster the development of new ideas and innovations for credit unions.” Sixteen CU leaders are being sought to participate, with a deadline for applications of Dec. 31.
Modeled after Filene’s i3 (Ideas, Innovation, Implementation) program, the REACH Innovation Group leverages the Filene Method innovation curriculum to bring an innovation competency to California and Nevada credit unions, the league said in a statement. “With coaching from Filene and the Leagues, participants will create, test and implement financial products, services and business model ideas. Participants will present their ideas at the 2015 REACH conference.”
The league said applications will be available on its website by Oct. 31, with interviews and selections to be completed by Jan. 31, 2015.
