Large, Mysterious Cash ‘Deposit’ Found Outside Credit Union

MOSES LAKE, Wash.–A branch of Gesa Credit Union found itself with an odd “deposit” of what was described as a “serious quantity of cash.”

According to notes in the Moses Lake Police blotter cited by SourceOne News, the credit union contacted the police after finding two bags of cash that were found in its deposit box but were without a deposit slip.

The credit union asked police if they wanted to hold on to the cash, but law enforcement insisted that it would be better if the money stayed with the financial institution it was intended for, according to the report.
