CALEDONIA, Mich.–Lake Michigan Credit Union has launched a $50,000 Home Makeover Sweepstakes for any member 18 or older.
The $13.3-billion LMCU said the 2023 sweepstakes drew a record 1,206,602 entries in 2023, with grand prize winner Brittany from Grand Rapids saying she would use the money for a down payment on a home.
The credit union said the cash prize can be used however the winner desires, from kitchen updates to new roofs, or even for non-home improvements, such as a dream vacation or to pay a child’s college tuition.
‘Exciting Event’
“Our communities look forward to the $50,000 Home Makeover every year,” LMCU President and CEO Julie Leonard said in a statement. “It is amazing to see the difference the sweepstakes can make in the winner’s life. Besides being an exciting event, it also serves as a reminder that helping our members achieve their lifelong financial goals is what LMCU is all about.”
Lake Michigan CU, which operates branches in Michigan and Florida, said members can enter in-person or online.
