GLENWOOD HILLS, Mich. — Lake Michigan Credit Union announced that Anita Erickson has won the credit union’s fourth $25,000 Home Makeover Giveaway.
The campaign, which features spokesperson Carter Oosterhouse, attracted 353,000 electronic and paper entries. Erickson was presented with a check for $25,000 on June 17 at LMCU’s Glenwood Hills corporate office.
Lake Michigan CU said Erickson is a loyal and long-time LMCU member (since 1999), and has been entering the $25,000 Home Makeover Giveaway since it all began four years ago. In fact, she entered “pretty much every day this year! I put a LMCU hotlink on my computer desktop as a reminder to enter every day.”
Erickson is a social worker for Care Plus, TLC.
“This year’s winner is a social worker for a nursing home, so it’s very gratifying to see the big prize go to such a powerful role model,” said Sandy Jelinsk. “Anita is very deserving, and that makes us very happy. It’s also nice to see the winnings go to an active LMCU member.”
As in past sweepstakes, Oosterhouse was featured prominently in this promotion. Oosterhouse is nationally recognized for his work on a number of cable TV programs dealing with home renovation, design and community outreach. He is a Traverse City, Mich., native, and a Lake Michigan Credit Union member.
LMCU’s campaign stretched across multiple media, including television, radio, print, outdoor, point of sale, Internet, social networks and member communications.
