LANSING, Mich. — LAFCU said it is offering specialized strike loans and other forms of financial assistance to members affected by the United Auto Workers strike.
LAFCU’s said its “Here to Help” program is available to help affected individuals and families “navigate through the strike period with stability and peace of mind.”
LAFCU said the assistance includes:
- Special strike loans” Up to $4,000 for 36 months at 8.99% APR
- Debt consolidation
- Refinancing options
- Free credit counseling
Auto Worker Foundation
“LAFCU is committed to supporting its members during times of financial uncertainty,” Kelli Ellsworth Etchison, LAFCU chief marketing officer and chief diversity officer, said in a statement. “Our very foundation is forged from the autoworkers, and we will be there for our members through this difficult time.”
LAFCU noted its connection with automakers began in 1936; the credit union was founded 87 years ago. The credit union has more than 74,000 members.
