ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.– Kirtland Federal Credit Union has named as its new president/CEO Tom Shoemaker. Shoemaker has been serving as the interim president of the credit union since October 2017 and has been with the $800-million credit union for more than two decades.
“The whirlwind of change that has brought me to this position of President and CEO has been both refreshing and exciting,” said Shoemaker. “After spending 24 years at Kirtland FCU in a variety of positions and areas, I am prepared and honored to lead this storied credit union.”
Added Board Chairman Brian McDonald, “The board considers the hiring of a president and CEO to be its most important and significant duty and responsibility. I’m pleased to announce that the board of directors has agreed to offer this position to our current Interim president and CEO, Tom Shoemaker.”
Kirtland FCU has more than 48,000 members.
