Kirtland FCU Launches Redesigned Site Following Interviews With Consumers

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Kirtland Federal Credit Union has launched a new website that it says speaks to “the credit union’s core mission” and was designed following interviews with consumers in its markets.

Kirtland FCU said its mission is embodied in its tagline “Empowering Financial Independence.” The credit union added that after plans to merge with Sandia Laboratory FCU were scrapped earlier this year, it decided to “move full steam ahead with promoting its vast array of services and products.”

According to KTFCU, the new website—www.kirtlandfcu.org—was developed around a series of interviews with consumers throughout Albuquerque to understand what financial independence meant to them. The answers revealed a desire to be financially secure and able to provide a secure future for their families – whether that meant buying their dream car, moving into their dream home or having enough saved to retire comfortably, Kirtland FCU said.

“The feedback from our members has been nothing but positive,” said CEO David Seely. “I think we’ve captured the essence of our organization and provided a much more useful website for our membership.”

The site features a brand-new look and improved navigation. The credit union said members can now enjoy easy-to-read FAQ sections, easier access to apply for loans and membership online, a more robust selection of calculators, and a responsive website that looks great from a desktop, tablet, or a mobile device.

“We were created 59 years ago to provide a robust platform of products and services for people stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base, as well as vendors and contractors who do business with the base,” added Seely. “It’s now 2017, and our field of membership has grown right along with our community. Yes, we still serve the military. And yes, we also serve the people of Albuquerque. No matter what phase of life someone is in, we are here to assist.”
