Kentucky CU League, Subsidiary Get New Names, Branding

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Kentucky Credit Union League and its subsidiary company have announced new names and branding.

The association is now called “Kentucky’s Credit Unions,” saying the new name is in line with its “mission to promote unity and provide outstanding service to credit unions throughout the state.

The name also aligns with the new group formed by the merger of CUNA and NAFCU, America’s Credit Unions.

“I am excited to be a part of this movement as we reveal our new name of Kentucky’s Credit Unions,” said Heather Walter, CEO of Advanz Credit Union and KCU chair.  “This rebranding more accurately reflects the collaboration and spirit that is encompassed in all credit unions across the Commonwealth.  It also reinforces the continued commitment to helping credit unions in our state prosper.”

Gradual Rollout

Kentucky’s Credit Unions said the rebranding initiative will be rolled out gradually across various channels, including its website, social media platforms, and marketing materials.

"It's an exciting and momentous time for the credit union movement,” said Jim Kasch, president/CEO of Kentucky’s Credit Unions. “Our collective success is more reliant than ever on continued collaboration. The new brand concisely represents the synergy created when we work together."

Kentucky’s Credit Unions represents 53 credit unions that serve more than one-million members.

Subsidiary Rebrands

Separately, KYCUL Services, Inc., the service corporation of Kentucky’s Credit Unions, has rebranded as Thoroughbred Business Services.

“The service corporation’s role is to create value for credit unions and their members,” said Ray Springsteen, CEO of Abound Credit Union and chair of Thoroughbred Business Services. “The rebranding effort is part of a strategic shift for Kentucky’s Credit Unions that includes enhancing services, reaching a wider audience and creating more opportunities for credit unions and their members.”

The association said the rebranding will be rolled out gradually across various channels, including a new logo, visual identity and updated website to “better reflect Thoroughbred Business Services' core values and mission.”
