BILOXI, Miss.–Keesler FCU has bought the naming rights to the stadium here previously known as MGM Park.
The facility is the home field of the Biloxi Shuckers.
According to Supertalk Mississippi, Keesler is paying $150,000 per year for the naming rights, $25000 more than what the City of Biloxi was initially hoping to pay. A rival bid from Shuckers Baseball, LLC., offered $90,000 per year over 10 years to name the ballpark Shuckers Stadium.
Once the deal is signed, Keesler will receive signage on both entrances as well as on top of the scoreboard, according to the report.
Minor League Baseball’s Shuckers begin their season on April 5.
