K.C. Police Credit Union Now Has New Name

KANSAS CITY, Mo.–K.C. Police Credit Union has changed its name.

Following a vote approval by members, the credit union is now known as Greater KC Public Safety Credit Union.

“We are very excited to roll out a brand that celebrates our roots, but also reflects all of the members we serve,” said CEO Aaron Goff.

The $117-million credit union was founded in 1934 by a group of Kansas City Police Department officers, and was open to department members and their families. In 2001, the membership was opened up to all first responders in the state of Missouri and three counties in Kansas (Johnson, Wyandotte and Leavenworth).

The CU has also introduced a new web address at publicsafetycu.org.
