KENT, Wash.—The $340-million Cascade Federal Credit Union has named banking executive Sam Jimenez president and CEO, the Puget Sound Business Journal reported.
Jimenez, most recently the CEO of Salinas, Calif.-based 1st Capital Bank, replaces Sarah Richardson. Richardson took over the role at the start of last year and will stay on through the end of this year to help with the transition, Puget Sound Business Journal said.
“Sam has a wealth of knowledge and experience,” Cascade board chair John Graham said. “We are highly confident that he will serve our members well and provide great leadership to the Cascade team.”
A Cascade spokesperson told Puget Sound Business Journal that Richardson just had her second child and is looking for more flexibility, but she will come back to work at the credit union after her maternity leave.
Jimenez has more than 30 years of financial services experience, according to Cascade.
