PITTSBURGH — Jessica Malaskovitz, president and CEO of Greater Pittsburgh Police FCU, has died. Ms. Malaskovitz was just 35 and was the mother of a two-year-old son.
“After a courageous battle with cancer, Jessica peacefully passed away,” the credit union said on its Facebook page. “She leaves behind the joy of her life, her two-year-old son, Jacob. Jess wanted nothing more than a bright future for her son.”
Ms. Malaskovitz is also survived by her husband, William, parents Joseph and Charlene Malaskovitz, her grandparents, Joseph and Marlene Malaskovitz, her siblings, Joseph Malaskovitz (Chelsea), Sarah Malaskovitz, and Nicholas Malaskovitz (Abagayle Stock), her cousin Michaela Rohe, her parents-in-law, Chuck and Audra Young, and her sister-in-law Erica Blass (Kirby)
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a GoFundMe page that has been set up for Jacob and which can be found here.
The $85-million credit union will be closed this morning so that staff and others may attend services.
