Jeans Day Fundraiser For CMN Is Scheduled For Sept. 9

SALT LAKE CITY — On Wednesday, Sept. 9, credit unions across the nation are being invited to wear jeans in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which raises funds and awareness for 170 children’s hospitals.

For a $5 donation, credit union employees can “earn” the right to wear jeans and participate in Miracle Jeans Day. All donations stay local to benefit the member hospital serving that community.

Credit unions interested in participating can find free tools and resources, including printable stickers and employee engagement materials as well as free icons to involve credit union members, at CU4Kids.org/miraclejeansday. With a $25 donation, employees can receive a Miracle Jeans Day T-shirt designed especially for credit unions. T-shirt orders must be submitted by Aug. 21 in order for them to arrive by Sept. 9.

Approximately 55,000 credit union employees participated in the 2014 event, raising more than $300,000 for member children’s hospitals. Fundraising under the “Credit Unions for Kids” brand, the credit union community has donated more than $140 million to member Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1996 through a variety of campaigns and activities, including Miracle Jeans Day.
