ORLANDO, Fla.–It’s a busy week for credit union meetings. CUNA, NAFCU and the League of Southeastern Credit Unions are all preparing to kick off their major summer meetings, with all taking place on the same dates and two of the events in the same city.
CUNA will be hosting its America’s Credit Union Conference at Walt Disney World in Orlando, while not far away the League of Southeastern CUs will be holding its annual Conference and Exposition at the Marriott Grande Lakes hotel. Meanwhile, in New Orleans, NAFCU said it will have more than 1,300 people in attendance at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center for its 52nd Annual Conference and Solutions Expo.
"Credit unions should feel confident about the future, and NAFCU's Annual Conference will help arm industry leaders with the tools necessary to keep growing stronger," said NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger in a statement. "With over 1,300 credit union leaders and professionals in attendance, there is no question this is the industry's must-attend event for those looking to build a better, stronger credit union."
Among the keynoters at the NAFCU event will be Cheryl Cran, founder of NextMapping, a Future of Work Consultancy and the CEO of Synthesis at Work Inc., who will be speaking on The Future of Work Is Now – Are You Ready?; and Author Simon T. Bailey, whose remarks are themed, “Shift Your Brilliance: Leading Amidst Change and Uncertainty.”
According to NAFCU, topics on the agenda range from emerging trends to CECL to building modern branches and more.
The meeting will also feature comedian Jim Belushi and The Board of Comedy performing for attendees.
CUNA’s ACUC
CUNA’s America’s Credit Union Conference will include opening keynoter Kai Kight, as well as Jeff James, who will speak to how Disney creates business excellence. The meeting will also feature Experiential Learning led by the Disney Institute.
