MADISON, Wis.– The National Credit Union Foundation will host a “Special Holiday Edition” of its bi-monthly Twitter chats for credit unions on Dec. 8 at 4 p.m. ET.
The Foundation said it is inviting credit unions to discuss their efforts to help staff, members and communities during the holiday season.
“The holidays are a wonderful time of the year and credit unions do a variety of activities to give back during this time,” said Christopher Morris, Foundation director of communications. “Whether it’s a skip-a-pay loan promotion, food or coat drives, custom financial education and more, credit unions get in the holiday spirit by extending the ‘people helping people’ philosophy. We’re happy to lead this chat to see how credit unions are making an impact on people’s lives during this special time of the year.”
During the Twitter chat, credit unions and their staff are encouraged to share best practices and examples of their efforts around the holidays such as internal promotions, financial education, special member product/promotions, community outreach and more. Sunmark Federal Credit Union in Latham, N.Y. will be featured in the Twitter chat as a special guest.
