PORTLAOISE, Ireland–People First Credit Union held its Annual General Meeting here with a record number of attendees and the announcement of a 25% dividend.
With 326 people on hand, People First said it is paying the dividend to reward members for a strong year. The bonus was paid during the first week of January, and also includes a 5% rebate on loan interest paid.
The credit union reported it closed the year with 38,048 members, including 1,918 who joined during 2017. It approved 5,726 loans for €19,764,676 and posted net income of €65,152.
