OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.–True Sky Credit Union is marking International Credit Union Week by hosting credit union delegations from the Caribbean CU League and the Barbados CU League this week.
Representatives of the Cornerstone League and Oklahoma Credit Union Association also joined in the welcoming festivities and hosted a luncheon for the delegation at the Credit Union House in Oklahoma City. Cornerstone Senior Vice President Mike Delker provided a comprehensive overview of the Cornerstone league to the delegation and detailed the League’s International Relationship Committee activities, True Sky CU reported.
According to True Sky President and CEO Sean Cahill, the credit union is in the middle of a Global Bridges Journey to “further the seven digital transformation working groups currently in motion and to celebrate International Credit Union Day together…”
In addition, through a special partnership with the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions, True Sky is promoting a special ICU Day event to help EMPOWER millions of members’ lives toward a brighter financial future with credit unions.

For International Credit Union Day today, Cahill said, “We are looking to engage our employees and members in doing global good by donating $10.20 on 10/20. We also encourage credit unions to set up friendly competitions. For example, True Sky and Cy-Fair Credit Union will be competing to raise the most money.”
Alternatively, he said, credit unions can decide to match member donations or contribute on their own as they see fit.
“True Sky’s board of directors is proud to partner with the World Council of Credit Union’s Foundation on programs, such as these and the Global Women’s Leadership Network, which are designed to assist people and credit unions across the globe,” Cahill added.
