CHICAGO–As part of International Credit Union Week, CUToday.info is featuring the 7 Cooperative Principles as part of it’s The corner feature.
The report notes that one CUSO and the National CU Foundation have both urged CUs to take this point of differentiation and “shout it from the rooftops.”
Those sevenprinciples, along with other resources, including videos and graphics, are being offered to help remind credit unions, their members, their employees and boards of why they exist. The 7 Principles trace their roots to the first modern cooperative, which was founded in Rochdale, England in 1844.
Unsure what the 7 Cooperative Principals are? Here’s your refresher.
