Inclusiv Releases report on Financial Inclusion by CDCUs; Plans to Host Webinar

NEW YORK–Inclusiv has released its Community Development Credit Unions: Financial Inclusion in Action report, which highlights the “extraordinary impact” of community development credit unions (CDCUs) in the low-income communities and communities of color they serve.

“The report illustrates Inclusiv member credit unions’ and cooperativas’ remarkable reach as well as the scale and types of lending they deliver in their communities,” Inclusiv said in releasing the report. “Also featured are success stories of individual CDCUs, underscoring the critical role they fill for people and communities excluded from the financial mainstream.”

Inclusiv said it will host a virtual event featuring CDCU leaders who will highlight key findings and “on-the-ground” CDCU impact at 3 p.m. E.T. on Nov. 16.  The event will include Ann Solomon, senior consultant with Inclusiv; Aurelio Arroyo, executive president with Cooperativa Jesús Obrero; and Paul Woodruff, VP-community development with St. Louis Community Credit Union.
